Tata Motors has officially launched its much-anticipated electric SUV, the Harrier EV, setting a new benchmark in India’s growing electric vehicle market. Priced from ₹21.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the Harrier EV is designed to offer a perfect blend of performance, style, and technology — all while boasting an impressive range of up to 627 kilometers on a single charge.
This long-range EV marks Tata’s continued commitment to expanding its EV lineup and offering eco-friendly alternatives to its popular ICE models. Built on the Gen 2 EV architecture, the Harrier EV retains the robust silhouette of the ICE Harrier but adds a more aerodynamic and tech-forward design suited to the electric era.
Inside, the Harrier EV is packed with premium features. Highlights include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a premium 10-speaker JBL sound system, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, and even ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) to enhance safety. Tata has also included wireless charging and a panoramic sunroof to elevate the in-cabin experience.
Under the hood — or more accurately, beneath the floor — the Harrier EV is powered by a dual-motor AWD setup, offering both range and performance. Fast charging capabilities further enhance its practicality, allowing the SUV to be charged from 10 to 80% in under an hour with a DC fast charger.
In terms of design, the EV version subtly tweaks the standard Harrier’s bold appearance with aerodynamic alloy wheels, a blanked-off grille, and a sleek LED lighting setup that includes connected light bars front and rear.
The Harrier EV directly competes with the likes of the Mahindra XUV.e8, and positions itself as a top choice for Indian buyers looking for a capable, stylish, and tech-loaded electric SUV. With growing government support and infrastructure for EVs, Tata’s new launch arrives at the perfect time to meet the demand.
With the Harrier EV, Tata continues to push the boundaries in India’s EV space, offering consumers a compelling reason to switch to electric without compromising on features, style, or driving comfort.
